Yes, CWC patrons with overdue Interlibrary Loan materials are charged $.25/day per ILL item.
Renewals are done on a case-by-case basis. Check with the Interlibrary Loan Librarian.
Fill out an application with Human Resources and specify that you would like to work in the library.

Typically, you may keep Interlibrary Loan materials for four weeks, but the due date depends on the lending library’s policies.
If the interlibrary loan item is coming from a library in Wyoming, it should not take more than a couple of days, possibly a week. If the item is coming from out of state, it could take up to two weeks or possibly longer.
There is no charge for Interlibrary Loan services except in rare cases when the lending library imposes a fee. If this is the case, you will be asked to approve the charge beforehand.

Most of the time there is no charge. If the library that loans or provides copies of material assesses a charge, that charge is passed on to you. When placing an interlibrary loan request, you may specify an amount you would be willing to pay or assure that you will pay any charges incurred.
There is no limit on how many Interlibrary Loan requests you may place but the service takes both time and money from two libraries, so please be selective. We are happy to help you find the best choices for your needs.

After seven days, your book will be sent back to the lending library and you will be assigned a fine.
Interlibrary loan is the system of agreements that allows patrons of one library to borrow materials from another library. Items are mailed from the lending library to the requesting library and patrons are notified when they arrive.
Loan periods are set by the lending library. In general, the period is 3-4 weeks for books and 1 week for audio visual materials. Sometimes the lending library places restrictions on the use of items and the CWC Library will always abide by these restrictions. Articles are usually received as photocopies, which are yours to keep.
Books, articles, DVDs, maps, books on tape or CD, there are no restrictions on the types of library materials borrowed through interlibrary loan. There may, however, be restrictions on the types of materials other libraries are willing to lend.
During Spring and Fall semesters, the library is open Mon.-Thurs. 7:30 a.m. -11 p.m.*, and Fridays 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., The library is open on Saturday from 12-5.p.m. and Sunday from 2-10 p.m.* During the summer we are open Mon.-Fri 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Library is always closed on Saturdays associated with campus holidays. *new hours effective Nov. 2, 2009.
They are kept on book shelf across from the library’s main desk. A list of our new items is also available online.
You can check on and pick up your interlibrary loan at the circulation desk. Failure to pick up an item you requested through interlibrary loan will incur a $1 per item charge. If you cannot come to campus, contact the Library staff.
Any CWC student or staff member with a current CWC ID/Library card may request an interlibrary loan through the CWC Library.
Staff and students may use Interlibrary Loan. Community members may access Interlibrary loan services through their local public library.
